OUTWARD WEEKEND
Friday, August 14, 7 PM: Night of Prayer and Worship
Saturday, August 15, 8:30 - 2:00: Day of Service + Lunch
Love Christ.
Love the World.
One of our values at Celebration is that our celebration moves outward. We're driven by faith to be tangible love — love you can see, touch, and hand somebody. That happens in two parts.
First we look inward and let God do the work in us. That's Friday night at 7:00 — a night of prayer and worship, where we come in with something specific to ask for.
Then Saturday morning, we take everything God did on Friday and move outward with our day of service. We'll gather here at 8:30, share a light breakfast, and head out. Every site is less than 30 minutes away. After two or three hours of serving, we'll come back around 1:00 for lunch together and be done by 2:00.
There's a spot for everybody — clean-up and repairs with Beautiful Feet and Street Impact, weeding at Spout Springs Elementary, organizing at South Hall Food Pantry, and more. If you’re not able to go out, we'll have projects right here at the church that families can work on together.
Everyone who serves gets a t-shirt, and we're all wearing them to church Sunday morning.
Sign up for your serving location ahead of time. Spaces are limited at some sites, so don't wait — and be sure to put down your shirt size.
