July 7 - 12, 2019
Current 6th and 7th Grade

The Nashville, TN mission trip (for current 6th and 7th-grade students) will be with an organization called
Youthworks (www.youthworks.com). Youthworks has been leading youth mission trips across the country
for the past sixteen years. It is the organization I worked for when I was in college and have worked with for
over 10 years. Their goal and purpose is to approach communities with humility and a willingness to
partner in the work God is already doing in their 45 locations around the United States.

Youthworks does a great job of offering service projects which are at the level of a middle school student.
Some of the service projects in Nashville may include working with children, the elderly, and doing basic
home improvement. Our work with children will consist of a hands-on afternoon program led by our youth,
known as Kids Club. Kids Club offers high-energy games, crafts, skits, songs, and interactive lessons all
designed to help kids learn about Jesus. Our group will also have the chance to do home improvement.
Oftentimes families struggle to provide the bare necessities of life, and maintaining a home takes a
backseat when it is difficult to put food on the table. Our group’s willingness to serve in whatever way
needed will bring real hope and an opportunity to share the love of Christ with others in Nashville.
