What We Believe Header

Jinotega, Nicaragua

At one time considered the breadbasket of Central America, Nicaragua is now the second poorest country in the Western Hemisphere. Coupled with natural disasters, civil war, and failed leadership in the 1980's and 1990's, 60% of Nicaraguans live on less than $2 per day. Only 4 hours by plane from Atlanta, God has burdened us with compassion to serve teh peiple of nicaragua, Specifically, the people of Jinotega in the mountainous region of the north central part of the country.

Partnering with the local curch, we are endeavoring to make a difference in the lives of families by providing basic needs such as sanitation, clean water, medical and ental services, children's ministries, and education. Our long term vision is to have a working farm in the region that will serve not only as a missions outpost, but will provide jobs, food, and training for the families of Jinotega.

Pray with us as we seek the Lord in our desire to serve the peoples on Jinotega.

Novosibirsk, Siberia

Novosibirsk is the third largest city in Russia. Located in the south central region of the country, it serves as a cultural and education center, as well as a springboard into the vast interior of the Siberian country side. Because of its geographic location along the Ob River and the Trans Siberian Railroad, Novosibirsk has a unique culture. With close proximity to Mongolia, Kazakhstan and China, Novosibirsk has a diverse ethnicity.

Akademgordk is a city located just 60 kilometers (approximately 37 miles) from Novosibirsk and is home to well over 100 institutes of learning. Drawing students from all over Russia, this former Soviet education center is the perfect community for spreading the gospel to all regions. Thus, Novosibirsk was chosen as a city of concentration for the church planting movement. Partnering with Joe Wilson and the European Church Planting movement (ECPN), and in conjunction with the IMB, we are helping to support two new church starts in Novosibirsk, one in the city and one in Akadem.

Through short-term ESL English courses we have the opportunity to share the Gospel of Christ. Through long-term English Bible study courses these students are able to continue along their spiritual journey and their English studies. We have seen many of them come to faith in Christ and go on to service in the local church. Alvin Conyers, a member of the Celebration family, serves as an instructor for the long-term courses, as well as being an English instructor at one of the universities. Alvin also spends time developing and nurturing relationships with his students as he seeks to help guide them along in their spiritual journeys.
